Office Assistant to Community Development
Are you an organized, tech-savvy professional with a passion for community development? The City of Ottawa is seeking an Office Assistant to join our team. Telecommunicator
The City of Ottawa Civil Service Commission is accepting applications to establish a telecommunicator eligibility register. The hours of work are 12 hours per shift on an average 40-hour work week, continuous operation, including weekends and holidays. The position includes but is not limited to answering incoming calls for police and fire issues, dispatching calls for service to police and fire personnel, maintaining radio contact with medics, firemen and police officers and operating the LEAD system and in-house software.
Vehicle Maintenance
The City of Ottawa Civil Service Commission is accepting applications to establish an eligibility register for future positions in Public Works-Vehicle Maintenance Division. The position includes but is not limited to the following tasks under limited supervision, plans and performs skilled diagnostic and mechanical work in the maintenance and repair of gasoline and diesel powered automotive, construction, and other City vehicles. Maintains a fleet data management system to update and maintain records of inventoried parts, vehicle use, and maintenance performed, and repair costs. Performs other duties as assigned. Work schedule is normally 40 hours Monday thru Friday 7:00 am – 3:30 pm.
Police Patrolman Lateral Transfers
The City of Ottawa, Illinois and its Board of Fire and Police Commissioners are seeking applications for qualified lateral transfer Patrol Officers. Applications are available below or at City Hall, 301 W. Madison St., Ottawa, IL 61350.
Applications must be returned to the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners, 301 West Madison Street, Ottawa, Illinois 61350 no later than 4:30 p.m. on November 11, 2024.
Leaf Vac (Seasonal)
The City of Ottawa’s Public Works Department is looking for workers to help with the City’s annual leaf-vac program that is expected to begin after November 4.
