Senior and Disabled Citizen Reimbursement for Taxi Rides

The City of Ottawa is updating information for the taxi subsidy benefit (reduced fair).

If you wish to receive this benefit, you will need to bring the information below to City Hall, 301 West Madison Street, Ottawa, Illinois between the hours of 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

 Picture I.D.
 Proof of Residency (if current information is not on picture I.D.)
 Proof of Income (most recent tax return or Social Security Benefit statement, pension statement, etc.)
o Your annual income cannot exceed $24,300 for one person living in the household or $27,750 for two people living in the household
 Proof of age – must be 62 years of age or show proof of disability

This information will be reviewed to determine if you qualify for this benefit. If you qualify, a new card will be issued to you.

NOTE: Anyone without a new card as of January 1, 2022 will not be eligible for a reduced fair until this information has been provided and reviewed, and if applicable, issued a new card.
