Leaf-Vac Workers Needed

The City of Ottawa’s Public Works Department is looking for workers to help with the City’s annual leaf-vac program that is expected to begin by Monday, November 1.

Applicants must be 17 years or older, have a photo ID, a Social Security card and be a resident of Ottawa. Work hours will be weekdays 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for a period not to exceed more than 29 work days.

Workers hired that are over 21 years of age will earn $15 per hour. Those between the ages of 17 and 21 will be paid the current minimum wage hourly rate.

Applications can be picked up at City Hall, 301 West Madison Street or the City’s Public Works building at 425 West Jackson Street. They must be returned by Thursday, October 28, 2021.
